Everyone in our group agrees that this is the most relaxed Thanksgiving we have ever experienced. No one cooked and no one cleaned up the kitchen. David watched football in the bar most of the day with people joining him from time to time. The girls all played a number of different games all afternoon, with a bunch of kids. I sat by the pool in the morning and by the beach in the afternoon, finally joining David for football late in the afternoon. Ken floated from place to place.
Allison and I had a date for lunch. For a class project she must interview a grandparent. I was the designated grandparent and today was the day to get it done. She had 34 questions to ask me. We both enjoyed the interview.
This evening for dinner we celebrated Molly's 5th birthday. Her birthday is Saturday but it will be a travel day, so tonight we surprised her by having a wee party complete with balloons and noise makers along with two presents and a birthday cake. She was thrilled and so were we.
On this Thanksgiving Day 2012, Ken and I are thankful for our family both immediate and extended. We are fortunate indeed.
