I have started. While Gill was in Puerto Vallarta, being a tourist, I began the task of returning our belongings to the lockers. It is interesting to note that every time I fill the lockers, the job is done more efficiently, I suppose because I have learned from experience. Today I filled the top shelf with paper products, and began to fill the bottom. First in goes the Mexican blankets and the books. Last year we took all our books down to the lending library, so we have only four books to store.
There is something perverse in my attitude. I thoroughly enjoy the organizing and the packing. It is not that I haven't enjoyed our time here, but when we are ready to leave, I am delighted to ' pack it up and move them out'. I know friends are sad when they must leave a place that is lovely, but not me. I am ready to roll.
We will not be back to Mexico until January 2013, so no food products will be left in the lockers. But our clothes will be ready when we return. All we will need to do is launder everything to get rid of the musty smell. Detergent and bleach works wonders. By Friday morning, the lockers will be full and we will be ready to get on the plane. Today, I started my task.
