June 26, 2017. San Antonio, Texas. A Farewell Dessert.

We did it.  Everything on our list has been done so we can leave Texas with a light  heart.  We are leaving a couple of things to do for Suzanne and David but they pretend to not mind.  We must return the two boxes for the TV and the Internet but the boxes we were promised have not arrived so we must leave it to Suzanne.  And they will also remove all the art and sculptures from the ranch.  And of course, David will attend and sign for us at settlement of the ranch.  But everything on our list has. been checked off.

Samantha baked today and made gluten free brownies.  Suzanne served them with berries and whipped cream.   Allison baked a vinilla bunt cake, which looked delicious but did not want to come out of the pan.  Finally, quite a bit of the cake stayed in the pan.  She dug it out and reattached it to the cake, then covered it with a lime icing and drizzling over the while cake.  As our farewell swan song, we had the option.  Both were delicious.  I ate the cake with berries and whipped cream which was delicious.  I ate the brownies this afternoon, just to make sure it tasted good.  Ken as is his habit, ate a bit of both desserts.  It was a fitting ending to a wonderful visit.  Now we head north.
