March 14, 2011. Jackson, MS. Betty and Vinal.

Tomorrow morning they leave Jackson heading north,  spend a couple of days with friends in North Carolina,  before driving back home to Nova Scotia.  They are good friends.  We could never have gotten all the furniture to Mississippi without their help and for this we are grateful.  And so are Andrew and Christina.

It all started as a lark.  Ken and Vinal were talking on the phone and in passing,   Ken mentioned that we were thinking about driving some stuff down to Mississippi.    That evening, I wondered out loud if Vinal would like to pull a trailer from the farm to Mississippi, in order to get a bit of a winter holiday.   The next day, Ken called with the proposition.   They are used to heading south for a month,  but this year was so busy they stayed in Nova Scotia.  Much to our surprise, they agreed, but only had three weeks to make the journey, so we made our plans.

Both Betty and Vinal are good sports and hard workers.  They worked the whole time at the farm.  Here in Jackson, they were off duty, so stayed in our condo relaxing and enjoying.  I think they enjoyed their visit, dining with us at Andrew and Christina's home and eating out for lunch with us and the girls.  Ken and I appreciated all their efforts.  We could never have done it without them.
