First we bought the box from Camping World. While we were there, I looked at a class B recreational vehicle. I love them and have always wanted to own one, when we both retired. But we keep talking ourselves out of buying it. They are too expensive. We will only use it to go from one house to another. It is cheaper to use motels. Once again, we walked away.
Next we drove to Fredericksburg via the back roads, and while I was buying groceries at Walmart, Ken bought a new fancy TV to use at the top house. Since we arrived, Ken has been setting up the system, connecting the portable satellite dish to the box and the box to the TV. Finally, he is on the phone with Dish TV. It is really nifty. Some person someplace else knows all about our location, except we met a glitch. Neither Ken or I or Robbie or Joyce knew our address. The person at Dish TV thought we were daft, not to know our address, but who can keep track?
Our living room has wires and cords all over the living room, but at the moment, all we want is to find out if the system works. We will soon know. If it does work well, we will be able to have television at the farm and at the condo and the lake, all with one monthly service. It's the same old story. We buy a bunch of fancy equipment in order to save the monthly contracts. Soon we will be ahead of the game!!
