The pollen has descended. The ground is pale green. The cars are covered with the pollen. It is hay fever time in Texas. At first Ken thought that he had caught a cold but he now thinks it may be mainly allergies. Even me, who is not normally allergic, am spluttering and sneezing. This morning we had a big storm, when rain, thunder, lightning and wind came through the area. That should clear out the pollen.
But tomorrow we will leave the area and drive to Canyon Lake, where there are fewer trees. East Texas is full of pine woods and the pollen comes directly from the pine cones. When the wind blows you would think that someone is dusting the trees with clouds blowing off the trees, and of course, arriving right to our nose. Allergies are interesting. For instance, I have never been allergic to anything until about 15 years ago. Now I suffer along with everyone else. Even my voice is different. The human body changes every minute. Tomorrow we will leave this resort and hope that the allergies are better.
