August 20, 2017. Western Head, Nova Scotia. Thinking and Checking.

This afternoon with Alice Anne driving we drove to Mill Village to check out a house for sale on the Medway River.  We have been checking out the little homes on the Mersey River in Milton.  Our friends from the cottage , Heather and Ross, told us about a home that had been for sale, so we checked it out.  It would have been almost perfect, but it sold the day before.  And another one had just sold a few days before.  The little home in Mill Village will not work because the access to the river was difficult.  but the price was right.   We had a great time exploring the back roads.

What we are thinking about is the cottage.  Ken does not enjoy driving and the ground between the cottage and the lake is uneven which makes life difficult for me.  Perhaps we will sell the cottage and buy a small home in Milton on the river.  It is 20 minutes  from our ocean home.   That part of the river is good for kayaks and canoes and is a pretty, clean river.  We want a small house with good access to the river and a nice yard.  In the house we want two bedrooms and two bathrooms.  And of course a garage.   So we have been looking.  Unfortunately, Milton is a small town so the number of homes is small,  And two sold recently.

We are thinking about what to do next.  Should we sell now and hope a home will come on the market?  Or do we wait?  If we sell now, what would we do with all the boats?  Perhaps we will do nothing.  Ken and I must figure it out.
