August 28, 2017. Western Head, Nova Scotia. The Perfect Day.

The weather today at Western Head was perfect.  The sun shone all day.  The breeze was modest with just enough wind to keep you cool but not enough to blow you over.  And the ocean was calm.  When we returned from the cottage and turned the last corner to go down the hill to the causeway we both exclaimed with the beauty of the scene.   The weather today at Western Head was as good as a day can possibly be.  It was perfect.

So after getting organized at home I went for a walk to the Ely's who live next door on the other side of the woods.  I always walk on the road because the path is uneven and I am fearful of doing it on my own.  Also the road is a longer distance and longer is always better.   We drank tea from my favorite cups that have pictures of country life and who came from Wendy's grandmother.   Wonderful tradition to drink tea with good friends using antique family cups and saucers.

To put the icing on the day, Heather brought us a blueberry pie.  She said it was for our anniversary.  We ate a piece for our late lunch.   Today, there were more reasons than one to be living at Western Head in Nova Scotia.
