Bucerias has a large and active art scene. Today, Gill, Ken and I toured as many galleries as we could take in at one time. Thursday evenings they have an art walk, when the galleries give out wine and goodies as the patrons wander from gallery to gallery buying art. We prefer to see the art in the daylight. Today, we three just looked and looked and did not buy a thing. We saw much variety in quality and style. In Mexico, the silver objects are beautiful. The same for the glass work. Our artist from Liverpool, Hugh Crosby is spending January and February in Bucerias but he was not known to the gallery owners. Several artists have open studios, where a visiting artist can work, then sell their work in the gallery. This simple little town of Bucerias has become a hotbed of artists working in many different modes. We enjoyed out time there.
After lunch, Gill walked all the way home along the beach, which takes her about two hours. Ken and I came home by taxi and both took a nap!!
