It is interesting how often a simple walk turns into a major event. Late this afternoon, Ken and I went for a walk. We had spent the whole day reading and working on the computer and i pads so it was time for some exercise. The weather was glorious. Perfect for walking. We walked on the sidewalk, past the mall and along the marina and watched all the tour boats leave for the evening cruises. The grounds of this place are very well kept so walking through the area you see lovely bushes and blossoms. Ken especially enjoys all the well tended shrubs, none of which he must trim.
As we walked through the hotel, we decided to have a drink at the bar, in honor of Robbie. This bar is his favorite. This year, the bar has opened a sushi bar so while we sipped our drink, we ordered Japanese food. It quickly turned a walk into an occasion. It was delightful. While we munched and drank, we talked about how to get home from New Zealand. By the time we had finished our two drinks, we decided to take a cruise ship home, ending in Vancouver. Now we must figure out how to get to Texas. One thing leads to another, even on a walk.
