July 14, 2014. Canyon Lake, Texas. The Heat.

Ken and I like the heat. Ken actually went into the swimming pool on Sunday and got totally immersed in the water. "It felt good", said Ken. We had been sitting out by the pool watching the children swim. It was pleasant sitting in the shade and talking but it is better when you are wet. I never did put on my bathing suit but just sat in the shade and soaked up the warmth. Soon Ken and I will no longer be hot because tomorrow we fly to Halifax, Nova Scotia. Mr. G. our shuttle driver will pick us up at the Halifax airport at 10:30pm and drive us to our home. Pat and Mal, who are already there, will leave the lights on and the door unlocked. The temperature today at Western Head was 65 degrees while at the lake in Texas it was 97. And the wind will be blowing. But the air will be clean and the waves will be beautiful. And we both know how to keep warm in chilly weather. We wear wool socks!!
