July 26, 2014. Western Head, N.S. Birthdays.

Today, my son David celebrated his birthday. As he was born in 1969, that makes him 45. The big girls came home from camp this afternoon, so now all six are dining together at a fancy steak house in San Antonio. There is nothing better than celebrating with your family. David was born in Galveston, Texas. My Mother was staying with Dave and Irene at the cottage at Redwood Cottages, the same place where Wendy now owns a cottage, which is on Lake Joseph in Ontario. The cottage at that time had no phones but we had arranged to call the pay phone at the corner of the property to announce the new family member. It was all very exciting to have another David in the family. My Mother had a brother David and I had a brother David. Now Andrew had a brother David too. Everyone in the family was thrilled with the birth of our David but no one was more delighted than Ken and me to have a healthy big baby born to us on July 26. We still celebrate his birth and every year we appreciated him more than ever. Now cheers for our David.
