Ken has been wanting to have dinner at Steak 159 this whole winter season. This is the restaurant which so kindly served our family New Years Eve dinner way before the place was open. That was two years ago. It has taken us that long to get back. Going out for dinner last year was difficult but this season we were not willing to ignore the place. We are running out of nights as we leave Mexico on the 26th. Tonight was the night to enjoy their good food and to say thank you to them for being so nice to us.
Dining outside is pleasant. We four sat in the corner by the railing and enjoyed the warmth of the evening. The moon was bright and big which added to the charm of the evening. Nothing happens quickly in Mexican restaurants so we ordered a bottle of wine and relaxed. We did what we never do. We all ordered appetizer or salad. And we ate steak. The servers were charming and we enjoyed our food and each other while we whiled away the evening overlooking the canal. I wonder why it took us so long to get there?
