They started with President Bush #2. He issued a few hundred. And no one did anything about it. President Obama took it to the next level and issues thousands of executive orders, always expecting for everyone would follow these rules or laws. And the Congress did nothing. Next came along President Trump who quickly cancelled all the orders written by the previous president and wrote a bunch more of his own. And now we have a new president who seems to think he is a King, ordering rules or laws and expecting everyone to dance to his time. I do not like it. The system is clear. The Congress make the laws and the president is charged with implementing the laws. That is what the executive branch is supposed to do. On his own, the president is in charge of the military and foreign affairs. He does not make the laws. My question is when will this foolishness be over. The President is not a King. He should not be able to make edicts and have everyone dance to his tune. But the Senate and House have had a dismal record these past 25 years. But perhaps the present president will overstep his boundary and the politicians will regain their senses. I do not approve of any president of any party issuing executive orders. It is not their job. Now when can it be stopped? I knew how it happened. The president was unable to get anything passed by the Congress so he took to making his own rules. The system does not work like that. If Congress is deadlocked and nothing gets passed, then nothing should happen. Now we have a president who thinks he can be a King. Not good.
