December 19, 2021. Ancaster, Ontario. The Big Boat.

Brunch today was wonderful. Today was Wendy's birthday so I took most of the family out to brunch to a Korean/Japanese restaurant in Ancaster, very close to home. the place is new and small so we pre-ordered our meals. we were a group of 12. They were ready for us when we arrived at 11:30. I had ordered appetizers. We needed to sit at two tables of 6 so I requested two large platters for each table so we would be able to arrive and start eating. The big wooden boat was the hit of the day. The boat covered the middle of the table, which itself was impressive. But what actually brought awe was the sashshimi and suchi that filled the big boat. It was just as good eating as it was looking at it. The food was wonderful. But the presentation was even better. The other platter was the tempurs and spring rolls. And after a cup of tea, came our main meal, which we had ordered the day before and called in by Wendy. Finally was brought a dish of melon and thinly sliced apples, all beautifully presented in a lovely bowl. The brunch was delightful and the food delicious but what we will remember is the big wooden bowl full of Japanese food. Once again, a celebration to rememberwith with my family.
