December 28, 2021. Ancaster, Ontario. Getting Together.

As children get older, getting family members together becomes more and more difficult. For instance, David, Suzanne and the four children are skiing at Winter Park this Christmas because Abigail is working there in Colorado for this gap year after college. She is required to work during the holiday season, so the whole family went to Colorado rather than celebrating without Abigail. They are having a wonderful time with many feet of new snow since their arrival. But it is just a matter of time before some family member will not e able to gather together. My brother Dave's 90th birthday was an extra special celebration and the family gathered in force. In attendance were all three children and their spouses, in addition to all 7 grandchildren and their spouses, plus 3 great grandchildren. There was no problem getting the family together for that event. People came from Vancouver and Montreal just to be together and celebrate Dave's birthday. And another event to get together will occur in Montreal in October. Ariel, a granddaughter, will be married to Rob On October 22. So let the good times roll. The family will get together for yet another celebration. I hope I will be able to attend. I like these celebrations.
