May 13, 2012. Jackson, Mississippi. Mother's Day

It was a perfect Mother's Day for me.   No crowds, no waiting, no hassle.  Brunch at the condo with Andrew and Christina and the girls started the celebration.  Ken cooked bacon while I opened packages.  We ate berries, muffins, quiche, cinnamon rolls, and bacon.  And of course olives.  For dessert we ate brownies and little pecan tarts.  No fuss and no muss.  Coffee and apple juice to drink.   The goslings obliged us by visiting right in front of the condo.

A nap in the afternoon is always nice on Mother's Day too.

Christin's Mother came to dinner at their home tonight so we all celebrated together once again.  Molly asked the blessing and without being prompted thanked God for her Mother.  It was very sweet.  Good food and good company can not be beaten for an enjoyable time.

To top off the day, I had a long conversation with David.  He called to wish me Happy Mother's Day and we ended up talking for a long time.  It was fun.  His garage is well under way and his bees are doing well so he is happy with that.  It was a lovely day for me, this Mother's Day, 2012.
