Ken and I have been at the lake since a week ago on Tuesday, so 10 days. Since our arrival, we have gone out of the house twice, once when we drove to the drug store in New Braunfels. And that day, we also ate lunch at a deli, MacAlister. The second time was our early dinner at the Italian restaurant. The rest of the time we have worked away putting our belongings in order. And Ken has ordered lots of objects to improve our life. We have been happy working away in the house and we like what we have done. We have enjoyed staying at home.
Today we had our next excursion. Our tasks were to eat lunch, get gas and buy fruit at the grocery store. We drove to Satler, the closest small town and we found a new barbecue joint. Their food was delicious. The place is small, only 6 tables but they have a big carry out business. Ken dropped me off at the grocery store while he got gas. Our timing was perfect. I had just come out of the store when Ken pulled into the parking lot. It is true that we are fine being at home, but we did enjoy our excursion into the real world today. Ken suggested we should go out more often, so he will not forget how to drive. We will see.
