February 2, 2022. Playa Royale, Nuevo Vallarta. Ciao.

The waiter tried to warn us but we ignored his advice. And we ordered too much food. We came home with enough caprise salad to serve all five of us at lunch plus two whole Pizzas. We are set for lunch tomorrow even after I eat a piece of cold pizza for breakfast. And the food was delicious. Ciao is just down the street from us so we pass it every time we are walking to La Isla, which we do at least once a week. But Ken and I had never eaten there. Wendy and Ken had been there once where they shared a pizza the evening they listened to the Elvis impersonator. It is directly beside The Vallarta Grill, where we have dined many times. But after tonight, we will return. The restaurant is all outside and is large. And they had lots of staff. Of course a weding reception was being held at the other end of the restaurant so they must have added staff. The wedding party was from Winnipeg and someone announced that the temperature tonight in Winnipeg was minus 35 degrees. The 30 people at the reception were all pleased to be at Ciao. And so were we. We were all delighted with our evening at Ciao. The food was delicious and the evening was beautiful, with a live musical group playing in the background. We will definately return.
