December 31, 2012. Ridgeland, Ms. A Party.

Nothing can be finer on New Years Eve than having dinner with friends, especially when the children are included too.   Andrew invited friends to dinner tonight.    We were ten adults and twelve children.   Andrew cooked beef tenderloin on the grill and Christina prepared cheesy potatoes and broccoli.   It was delicious.    The children sat at tables in the sun room while the adults were served in the dining room.   We used Christina's grandmothers dishes and silver and crystal.    There is nothing better in the world than celebrating the new year with friends and family.

And we made resolutions.  Ken has already started working on gathering the information to attend concerts and plays so that will be our resolution for 2013.   And we are trying to add more variety to our travel plans, but that must wait until after our 55th.

We have attended big fancy parties on New Years Eve but we prefer the dinner at home with friends.   No forced gaiety, just good conversations and lots of fun.  Now we are ready for 2013.
