January 2, 2013. Ridgeland, Ms. Football.

It was the first time we had ever done it before, but we had a blast and have laughed about it ever since..  It was over 25 years ago, and we were on the last few days of  a ski trip.  We had spent a week in Stowe and a week in the Eastern Townships of Quebec and we were spending a few days in Vermont, to finish up our sky vacation at Killington.   Through the two weeks,  skiing was excellent and the snow was packed and perfect with no ice in sight.   By then we had gotten spoiled with such good snow, so when we got to Killington and discovered the hills were only fully covered at the top, we made the wonderful decision to just watch football.

Our accommodation was wonderful, with a TV in each bedroom and a large living room with plenty of comfortable couches and chairs.  It was new years weekend, the we four watched football all day and all evening.  We ordered Pizza delivered to the Motel and Ken went to the grocery store for food while the three of us just watched to our hearts content.   And we kept our skis and gear in the front closet.   Frequently we lost Ken to the bedroom to read or to watch another TV, but must afternoons and evening,  David, Andrew and I watched football games.  We were in hog heaven.

Yesterday at Andrew and Christina's house we also watched two football games.  It was fun.  It is now a right of passage to the new year to watch college football. And we reminisced about our three days of doing nothing but watch football in Vermont.
