February 12, 2017. Playa Royale, Mexico. The Weather.

We four are feeling smug.   Real weather is breaking out all over Canada and the US.   High winds are forecast for the DC area tomorrow.  Snow storms are blanketing Nova Scotia.  Toronto and the area seem subject to more snow and more freezing rain,  Tornados are still an issue hitting the Gulf  including New Orleans, Mississippi coast along with Alabama.   Even Vancouver and Victoria got their share of snow and freezing temperatures.  Kenny from Vancouver posted a picture of their sail boat covered with a foot of snow.  Sail boats are not supposed to be covered with snow.

We are just grateful that we bought this place long ago so we have a comfortable place to live in order to  keep away from the inclement weather.   A young man mentioned on the elevator today that the temperature in Chicago was 20 degrees F. along with high winds.  He was grateful to be living at Playa Royale in Nuevo Vallarta where the temperature every day is 82.  He is here with his two young children and his wife.  He was wishing they would stay a month instead of two weeks.

One of the joys of being retired is that we are able to stay here until Spring returns to Mississippi.  We have spent many winters here but we have not yet become complacent with the sun and the warmth.  Every  morning we are grateful for the weather.  And we are delighted to be able to live here.
