February 24, 2017. Playa Royale, Mexico. Winter 2018.

Finally, we have winter 2018 organized.  While we are here each year, we plan and implement our next year.  Now we are done.  We have set in place options for ourselves.    At Playa Royale, we own 10 weeks in our condo, but only 8 can be during the winter.  We bank those weeks for exchange. And the rule is you can only book one year ahead of the time you wish to preserve the space.  We own lots of points at the Time Share just down the road, called Paradise Village.  This year we stayed one week at PV in a large villa with my wonderful Wendy and her family.  And we have a membership at an all inclusive resort called The Hard Rock Resort just next door.  Last year we stayed there for two weeks.  Finally, we own four weeks at Vidanta, a large place across the canal.  We have yet to stay there.  So when we are organizing our winter, if we can not get one place, we just go to another.  Our system has worked well for us although not everyone would enjoy the complications.

Next year, Ken and I come to Paradise Village for one week from December 30 to January 6.  Next up is Playa Royale, our condo.  We come January 6 and leave February 3.   Then we go back to Paradise Village for three weeks, staying in a three bedroom penthouse.  Finally, on February 24 we will be back in our Playa Royale for two weeks, leaving for home on March 11.  We will enjoy the variety.  Each place is different and both the condo and the penthouse  have three bedrooms and three bathrooms  so company will be welcome.  What I will not be able to do is stock the freezer and fridge for the season.  This year has worked well in the food department.  Next year I bet we will eat out more frequently.  Now I can write it all down in the calendar.  Pretty nice.
