April 7, 2017. Madison, Mississippi. Playoffs.

This is an exciting time.  Tonight the women's Gold medal championship in hockey between Canada and the US is being played.  The score is tied at 2 all.  At the same time, the world championship men's curling is being played between Canada and some other country.  We can not watch it on our TV, which is irritating.

At the same time, in the NHL world, right now,  the Montreal Canadians are playing the Tampa Bay Lightning.  If Tampa Bay does not win, they are finished for the season and they are out of the playoffs.  Montreal has nothing to work for other than pride because they are in the playoffs and they have won their division.  A the moment, Tampa Bay is winning.  Toronto must win one more game to get into the playoffs.  They have games on Saturday and Sunday .  Surely they will win at least one game.  We want them in the playoffs.

In addition, the baseball season has started so every night if I wish, I could watch baseball.  Yesterday, Toronto won their first game.  I follow the teams in Toronto, Washington and Pittsburg.  And I have already watched and enjoyed a bit of The Masters golf tournament.  High drama for the rest of the weekend.

Now we look forward to the playoffs in both hockey and basketball.  I only pay attention to the San Antonio Spurs.  But we will watch lots of hockey, hoping that the Washington Capitals get past the second round.   Indeed, this is a very exciting time of the year in the world of sports.
