May 23, 2021. San Antonio, Texas. A Rainy Saturday.

Rain in Texas usually comes all at once. One short period of a deluge and next the air is clear. But yesterday it rained all day. The rain started in the middle of the night and kept raining. First thing in the morning David took the dogs for a long run. When he left it was spitting rain but when he returned almost two hours later he was drenched. But the dogs were happy. The day was perfect for staying home. Abigail and Sarah had gone to Austin to celebrate graduations parties for friends and Samantha and Alison wee out with friends. Suzanne had errands to run. David and I made the sensible decision to watch the PGA golf tournament. Their couch i perfect for watching TV when you lie on the couch with pillows behind your head so I assumed the position and watched golf with David. Some time during the afternoon I took a nap but I never got off the couch. Phil Michelson was ahead which was surprising as he is 50. As we were only 3 for dinner, we watched hockey while eating the salmon David smoked in the yard...in the rain.. It was still raining. A rainy day is perfect for watching golf. I enjoyed every minute from my comfortable couch.
