Jan and Larry are the most gracious of hosts. Last Sunday, they invited me along with Pat, Mal and Gill to their home for lunch. We all had a wonderful time. We were invited for 1:00. Larry had redone their deck. And he had made two wooden tables to be used on the new deck so on Sunday for the first time, we ate lunch sitting outside on their new deck. It is a wonderful addition to their beautiful home and as the weather was lovely, we all 6 enjoyed ourselves.
Our lunch began with a glass of wine and spring rolls. Mal and I were the only two to abstain. But we enjoyed everything else, especially the new location. Larry even brought me a soft chair. Next we ate smoked salmon, bagels, creamed cheese, capers and onions. The food was marvelous. and we ate every bite. Next we ate apple pie brought by me from the lady at Atlantic Sands.
Our conversation was lively. And finally we headed home well after 4:oo. Our Sunday lunch was a delight, thanks to our hosts, Larry and Jan. I am indeed fortunate.
