David N. took his dog to be groomed. And he came out to check up on me. He discovered Pat and Mal just eating lunch with me and we had a pleasant visit. One topic we discovered was how much we all enjoy scallops. And David left to pick up his dog.
But we were in for a big surprise. Just after 6:00, David arrived with all the fixings for dinner for all four of us. He brought fresh scallops, green and yellow beans and french fries to be cooked in the oven. While Pat and I sat in the living room chatting, David and Mal cooked dinner. David cooked the scallops in butter and prepared all the other food. The smells from the kitchen just got better and better.
We four enjoyed our delicious dinner. I am not sure which part of the dinner was the best: the taste of the food or the unexpected surprise. But we all loved every bit. And we ate ice cream for dessert. Wow. What a dinner!!
