October 19, 2015. Madison, Mississippi. A House Transformed.

The difference is remarkable.  Gloria and Gary were here for 6 days and the house has been transformed.   Our new home is delightful now.  Christina and the girls came for dinner and after dinner we sat in the living room and enjoyed the ambiance of our new living room.  The furniture is all new down to the rug and it all fits together including the cushions.  And it looks spectacular.  Actually, it looks like our own home.  Mary Frances noted tonight that she liked seeing all the same art and artifacts that she remembered from the apartment and the farm.  We like it too.   Our new house was always wonderful but now it is also beautiful.

We ended our journey by driving the Natchez Trace from Clinton on Highway 20 to Ridgelend and the Mississippi Craft Center.  After the busy Highway 20 which is full of huge trucks it was a relief to drive and see no commercial vehicles and where you drive 50 mph.   For a short time it is a pleasure which it was today.  Our day was exciting, arriving at home and seeing our transformed house. then having dinner with Christina and Mary Frances and Molly.  Now tomorrow I have the scans.   Suzanne drove the whole time today.  So nice to have competent friends who help us.  We are blessed.
