The TV was delivered and installed, turning a useless space into into a TV room. Gloria ordered a bracket for the wall with a swivel so watching TV from the two chairs at the end of the room is easy and comfortable. Best Buy delivered and installed the set and were there at 9:00.
AT&T arrived at 8:30 to switch out Internet and TV service to them. The young man was helpful, polite and competent. We were expecting problems but although it took him 6 hours to get the job done, by the time he left both the Internet and the TV's were up and running. We were all impressed.
The healing and AC contractor came to check our system for the season and was at our house at 8:00. He had installed a new system at the condo years ago, when it broke down, so we knew him and liked him. Unfortunately, our systems are old so we will replace the whole thing. He will begin the work on Thursday.
Suzanne drove with me to get my scans, then drove back home all by herself. I wrote her directions, which she preferred to the GPS. Then when I was finished, she drove back to pick me up. She now is a pro at getting around Jackson.
Later in the afternoon, she and I went to a consignment shop to try to find a small table for the end of the breakfast table, where we intend to place a computer. I wanted a small, antique desk but we could not find anything suitable. On the way to the truck we found a table that is the perfect size and is sturdy but is an old fashioned kitchen table. It fits perfectly and will be useful. although not fancy. It will do just fine. Todaywas a busy, productive day.
