October 25, 2015. Madison, Mississippi. Rain.

Our new house is a wonderful place to be when it is raining.   I watched football this afternoon in the room adjacent to our bedroom, the small room that is floor to ceiling windows on the two sides adjacent to outside.  It is a spectacular place in the rain especially with the wind gusting and the leaves falling.  Mississippi has been short of rain this fall so it comes as a relief to find the rain falling.  The rain has been the best of rain, falling gently beginning in the middle of the night and continuing all day.  Now it is raining hard enough to hear on the windows.   I like it.

The reservoir has been very low, in fact,  many of the sail boats at the yacht club can not budge from the dock, as the water is too shallow, but today there was a race held today, due to all the rain that fell over night.  And Texas has again had a deluge of rain.  The rain fell at the ranch which was a blessing but in San Antonio, Austin and Dallas they had flooding and everyone was told to stay home.   At our condo in Nuevo Vallarta, everyone was taken to the casino during the storm Patricia, but they were lucky when the storm hit land south of Puerto Vallarta at a place with little development.   Everyone was relieved, especially Joyce and Robbie whose nephew was at his condo in the same building as us.  There were anxious moments but fortunately, all is well.   Our new home has proved better than we expected, as it is even great during rain and wind.
