What a surprise. The Nashville Predators will play for the chance to win the Cup. They beat the Anaheim Ducks tonight in Nashville. This is the first time in the history of the team that they have been in the finals. The fans screamed their heads off. We four watched the whole game which was tight until the very end. Of course, the Spurs basketball team was playing tonight too so we switched back and forth regularly but that game was not competitive and we finally gave up and kept the hockey game on because that game was exciting.
16 teams were in the playoffs. Of all those teams, the Predators were ranked 16th. The Washington Caps were ranked number 1 but they lost in the second round. Chicago was thought to be a contender for the cup but the Predators beat them in the first round. You just never know what will happen when you get into the playoffs. Now Ottawa must beat Pittsburgh twice in order to get into the final which I suspect will not happen. But we will see. But at the moment, the fans from Nashville are celebrating, and so are we. This win has been a big surprise for us.
