July 14, 2012. Western Head, NS. Ice Cream.

We will go anywhere to eat good ice cream.  Even Molly, who is not in love of driving,  will sit quietly when she knows we are on the way to the ice cream store.   This morning, we reversed to order for lunch.  At 11:30,  we six bundled into the truck and drove to Port Medway, to eat desert first, prior to lunch.   For two dollars, you get one scoop of ice cream in a dish, except the scoop is actually two large scoops.   The ice cream store is part of the post office and general store and is just up the street from the light house, park and dock.

Our routine is to buy the ice cream and walk down to the dock and the light house and sit and watch the boats coming and going  while we eat our ice cream.  It all comes under the category of simple charms.  Then after eating our dessert, we drove to the Pizza restaurant for lunch in Liverpool.    It is a place we seldom frequent but the food was great so we will return.  By 2:30, we were home so Molly could nap.  Great lunch, even though we did it all backwards.
