Tonight, our friends came to say goodbye to Christina and the girls. They have been here for two weeks but tomorrow they must return to Jackson, Mississippi. Kate and Mary Frances have been away sine May 25.
The late afternoon was lovely, warm and sunny, so Ken built a fire and we sat in the Adirondack chairs down by the water and watched for whales while the girls chalked on the rocks. We drank wine and talked and the children played. Then an easy dinner for the eight of us plus Gill and Walt and Mary, requiring two tables end to end. I like easy meals. And the girls cleared the dishes and filled the dishwasher so when I returned to the kitchen it was spotless. I suspect that Christina put on the finishing touches while Molly played in the bathtub. For many reasons I will miss those girls.
Molly asked about dessert but we had none. Pat and Mal bought ice cream today so bailed out the meal. Everyone was happy. After dinner, Vinal and Betty came by to say goodbye. Now all the friends are gone, Molly is asleep, and the big girls are watching their last DVD of M15. We will meet them again in Jackson..
