It is common in Nova Scotia for groups to raise money by serving breakfast to the public. Volunteer Fire Brigades do one every month. The food is always the same and are more than you normally eat, even for a Sunday breakfast. Pancakes, bacon, sausage, beans, eggs, coffee and tea and juice. Ken and I like to support the local fund raising but we really prefer to stay home to eat. This morning we attended breakfast in Milton, held at the Memorial Hall, in order to raise money for something or other, the four of us invited by Betty and Vinal. For $7. we ate a lovely breakfast with good company.
After the ample breakfast, we went to the cottage. The weather was perfect. We read, swam, ate, and talked. To top it off, at 4:00, Pat served tea while we were sitting on the deck by the water. And we ate Oreo cookies too. What a wonderful day!!
