The Nova Scotia smoked salmon is delicious. Tonight for dinner we ate smoked salmon, capers, chopped onion, creamed cheese and sour dough bread. Dave and Irene drove to Port Mouton, to the Mersey Point Fish Factory, to buy two large slabs of sliced smoked salmon. The factory used to be located just up the road, close to Moose Harbor, but a few years ago they relocated. It is worth a trip. In fact, it is worth coming to Nova Scotia, just to eat the smoked salmon. Normally, we eat it as an appetizer, but tonight we had cocktails at Gill's home, so we were not really hungry. Thus, a smoked salmon dinner was perfect.
For dessert we ate chocolate cake, made by Christina for Ken's birthday. It is a favorite of Ken's and as Christina and Andrew will not be here in August, we are celebrating early. It is the richest chocolate cake in the world, but worth every calorie. Such a wonderful meal!!
