Flags are flying everywhere. In Owen Sound every car was flying the Canadian flag. It seems so unusual for Canadians to be demonstrative but it looks festive. Arriving in Liverpool today you could see flags flying from every telephone pole and every home. Privateers Days is also being held here so the town is full of people and tents and cars.
The fireworks display will go off at ten o'clock. It is to celebrate Canada Day and to end Privateers Days. Andrew, Christina and the girls will be arriving at about the same time. I hope they get to see it when they arrive. I will tell them that it was a welcome to Liverpool just for them!!
