First the errands. People are polite and friendly in Texas so getting our errands done was a breeze. The store that looks after sending packages was close by and the bank was 5 minutes north on 281. The folks in both businesses were competent and pleasant so we were quickly finished.
Next was lunch with the girls and Suzanne at their home. Ken came back to the motel while the girls and Suzanne came with me to get pedicures. It was a treat for all. Poor Sarah was working so could not join us. She is working s a nanny for three children. Tomorrow is her last day. She is ready to be finished.
The rest of the afternoon I was lazy, reading and snoozing while Suzanne took the girls on two appointments. Allison and Samantha were ready for the next tightening of their braces while Sarah after work saw the Ophthalmologist. All is well with her eyes.
The best part of the day was the family dinner. Suzanne has become an excellent cook and tonight was no exception. Poor Samantha is feeling left out because I have given a set of china to the older girls but not to the twins or Molly. By then I had decided it was a bad idea. The conversation was lively. We all joined together in the living room as we were leaving for Nova Scotia and they leave for Seattle by car on Wednesday. We will not see them until October. I am sure that Suzanne asked the girls to join us in the living room after dinner and I appreciated their efforts. The girls are lively and spontaneous and we enjoyed the conversation. The girls want to Ken to change his picture on Facebook. It was hilarious, a perfect end to a wonderful day.
