July 20, 2016. Western Head, N.S. The Day at the Cottage.

The day was perfectly ordinary, but very pleasant too.   We did nothing extraordinary at the cottage and we enjoyed every minute, chatting while sitting on the deck or at the dock.  Christina and the girls drove the truck while Ken and I drove with Pat and Mal who had just arrived on Wednesday afternoon.  Molly was the only one to swim.  The day was sunny but windy so was not appealing to get into the lake,  at least to everyone except Molly.

The lake was free of boats.  We saw lots of ducks and ducklings and we heard the sound of the loons. It was worth going to the cottage just to hear the sound of the loons.   Every time we go the the cottage  after an absence of a long time we are pleased we own it.  The cottage is tiny but charming.  Pat made the bed so when we have no company, Ken and I will stay overnight and enjoy the evenings.

Today we left at 4:00.  Mary, Cliff and Gill were coming to dinner at the Ocean House so we needed to get ready.  But we will return to the cottage very soon.
