July 29, 2016. Western Head, Nova Scotia. The Quarterdeck.

The old Quarterdeck restaurant has been demolished.  It is gone.   Yesterday we ate lunch in the brand new gleaming white delightful new Quarterdeck restaurant.  The outside is not charming but when you walk in,  all you can see is the sea.  There are no bad seats in the house.  The place is double the old place with tables on the outside deck too.  When we were there,  several patrons were taking lunch outside, even though the sun was bright.  An added bonus is the second floor, with additional space for banquets and special events.

The food was excellent.  Their lunch menu had 4 appetizer options and 6 for the main course.   Our 6 people ordered 4 of the main selections.  Everyone was happy.

The old Quarterdeck was small and funky with pictures on the walls and things hanging from the ceiling.  The new Quarterdeck is modern and sleek.  Everything is white except for the tables which are maple.  Pat and Mal took us for lunch, just to check out the new place.  We all approved and were grateful!!
