Boats started arriving at 5:00. When the sun went down and dark descended, there must have been 200 hundred boats in Turkey Cove, all waiting for the fireworks display. Boats were rafted and boats were anchored. In the dark the scene was pretty. And then the fireworks began.
This fireworks display was private. The man six doors down from us has putting on a fireworks display for years. Every year is bigger and better. No advertising. No announcements. All word of mouth. It was the most impressive fireworks display we have ever seen. This year, he began electronic ignition so he had 8 tables set up along the shore with a console and a desk so he could ignite the rockets by remote. Very fancy. By the time it was over, which lasted almost an hour, we were ready for it to be over, but it was very impressive. And it all occurred in Turkey Cove.
