January 12, 2019. Playa Royale, Mexico. Wonderful Wendy.

So far, Wonderful Wendy has purged the refrigerator of all the food that had gone bad. The sour milk is gone as is the sliced meat that looked green. And one loaf of bread was moldy. So Wendy is keeping us healthy. Not too long ago Wendy ate a piece of chicken from her own refrigerator...and she got food poisoning. So she is sensitive and I appreciated that. I had not looked into the fridge since I arrived. Today Wendy and Ken have to eat humble pie. They got clever and they lost. They flew on a direct flight from Hamilton to PV, only the second time the flight was held. On Swoopo, you pay for each bag so they decided to take only one bag so all their clothes would be in one bag. But they discovered to their dismay that the bag was too heavy so they were forced to pay the overage, which was more than the extra bag. Oops. They arrived at 11:00 and they were at Playa Royale before noon. Immigration and Customs were empty. The taxi was waiting when they walked out the terminal. It pays to take an early flight and arrive before noon. After changing into cooler clothes, we ate lunch at the beach restaurant, which is a lovely spot upon arrival. The rest of the afternoon they sat on the beach and got tumbled in the surf. I sat demurely by the pool. I am delighted to have them here. This is the first trip since retirement for them so we will all three enjoy their visit. They just returned from an evening walk in the cool evening air. They will be with me the whole time. So here we go.
