We spent a great day together. Connie and Sterling came on their boat to Brooklyn from Lunenbery, arriving last evening. Mal and Pat picked them up this morning. Gill came over and we spent the first two hours going through their route getting here, and all the places they went. It was truly a wonderful journey, up the Hudson River, through the Erie Canal, over to The Gaspe peninsula than on to PEI and Cape Breton before coming to Nova Scotia. They will leave tomorrow to Shelburne, then to Maine before eventually ending up in The Chesapeake Bay.
Next we had lunch here: soup and a sandwich. Sterling and Connie used my truck to go to the grocery store, then drive around Liverpool, which included The Sculpture Garden. They agreed that the garden is wonderful. We dined at White Point and we sat in the lounge, which was fine until the entertainer drowned out all conversation. At least the food was good. Back at home, we took pictures and chatted before Mal took them back to their boat.
It was wonderful seeing them again after a ten year absence. They are truly on a trip of their life. And I was delighted to be just one day with them on their epic journey. Such fun being just a small bit of their trip.
