For the first time this summer, the DWEM's celebrated together. We gathered together on the deck of the Mitchell's house to celebrate being together in Nova Scotia. The DWEM's are the Dickies, Wus, Elys and Mitchells, the four families who bought and built homes here in Western Head. In addition, we celebrated Ken's birthday. He would have turned 86 today. And of course, it was Ken who found this place so he was an important person in our celebration.
We met in the late afternoon on a glorious day. We munched on fresh vegetables and drank wine, at least some did. Then we ate quich made by Mary which was the perfect late afternoon meal.. For dessert we ate fresh peaches and ice cream. The last time we were able to get together was 2019 so today was an especially important celebration. And we enjoyed ourselves.
