Today we celebrated Christina's birthday. And we did it in style. Unfortunately, David and Suzanne had to leave for the airport at 11:30 to San Antonio so they missed the celebration but Kate, Mary Frances and I along with Christina went to Anjou, the French Bistro to have our brunch and to celebrate the birthday. Molly was involved with the school play so she missed it too. But the four of us had a great time.
First we all four drank a mimosa to toast Christina. Then we ordered mussels to share as an appetizer. They were delicious. And we ate our respective brunch item, which were all delicious. The food at Anjou is excellent and we all had a treat. Our weekend with David and Suzanne had been delightful so brunch today was the final event of our wonderful weekend. Kate goes back to Greenville on Tuesday so today was our last gathering with her.
Christina and the girls drove me home. While sitting in the living room, the girls looked through two boxes of pictures, which was great fun to see. Our celebration was a success. And now my home is once again quiet. But the memories linger.
