January 15, 2017. Playa Royale, Mexico. Rita and Ian.

For the past two years, Rita and Ian have looked after us in Mexico.  They had tickets to come next Tuesday.  But now Rita needs some one to look after her.  She is in the hospital fighting  massive infections in her bladder, lungs and  blood.  She was in hospital over Christmas when she had a bad bout with coughing and was unable to speak.  For several days, she had every test known o man,  Mri, Ct scan Pt scan, all to no avail.  They could not tell why she had a coughing fit.  She came home from the hospital and was told to resume normal activities.

But she did not get better.  Finally, she fainted in the bathroom and was taken back to the hospital, where they discovered massive infections.  She probably. came home with the infection.  She is still in the hospital but hopes to come home next week,  but first the infection in her blood must be gone. Rita loves  Nuevo Vallarta so it a bitter pill to cancel their trip.  But first she must get well.

The good thing for her is that she is not  getting worse.  She feels much better now.  Ian will look after her instead of the other way around.  I received an e mail from her this evening, the first I have had in a week, so I think she is on the mend.  We will miss them here but more importantly, she must slowly return to good health.  Perhaps when she is well and we are back in Mississippi. they. could visit us in our new home.   I hope so.
