January 13, 2020. Playa Royale, Mexico. Thunder From Above.

The furniture in the condo is heavy. And there are no felt pads on the legs of the chairs, so when a chair is moved across the floor you hear a terrible noise. Ken was always admonishing me to pick up the chairs. Even in the same room the sound is nasty. But when people move chairs above you it sounds like thunder. Heavy thunder. The place here is quiet. No one was beside us , above us or below so silence reigned supreme, until Saturday night. The noise continued for well over an hour. We three laughed and said that someone had moved in and they were moving furniture. The loud noises continued on Sunday morning. More furniture being moved we decided. Our problem was where on earth would she move the furniture? We three laughed and decided that we might never know. This afternoon I was in the hot tub. Two people got in and we started chatting. One of the things she said was that ever since they arrived on Saturday they had been either moving furniture or shopping. I laughed gleefully and told them where they lived, which was directly above us. They were duly sorry they said. My question to them was where do they move the furniture in the room. And why? Evidently she always moves the furniture. She does not like a square for the living room so she moves the couches on the corners . It makes no sense to me but to each his own. All we knew was that the thunder was coming from above. But now it has stopped. They will be here for 5 weeks which means I will be here when they leave. I hope they leave the furniture in the same place as they left it. We do not need more thunder from above.
