January 26, 2020. Playa Royale, Mexico. Mega.

The Mega is a large grocery store. Wendy, Ken and I made a visit the day after our arrival. It has lasted us for three weeks. All three of us loaded our individual carts. Much to my surprise, we did not overlap, except for butter. But now Rita and Ian are here so the decision was made that Wendy, Ken and Rita would take the taxi to the Mega while Ian and I would stay home. The three ladies made a list on Wendy's phone, which was transferred to Rita's phone. They were set. Right after breakfast, they headed off, full of vim and vigor. When they returned, they took three carts to bring the groceries up to the condo. They told me that the trunk of the taxi was full, Ken had bags at his feet in the front seat and Rita and Wendy had bags between them in the back seat. Our kitchen is not small but the counters were full unloading the carts. Finally the extra bags got lifted to the floor. We had groceries everywhere. I sat at the bar and cheered while Ian returned the carts downstairs. Then I watched in amazement as all the stuff was put away. All three helped and soon the shelves were full, The freezer was full. The pantry was full. The fridge was jammed with food. It was a cook's paradise. Hats off to Wendy, Rita and Ken for filling our larder. We certainly will not starve any time soon. And that is a good thing.
