January 14, 2020. Playa Royale, Mexico. The Market.

They call it the Farmer's Market but in truth, most vendors are not farmers. Everything you could ever buy in Mexico you can find at that market. Tuesday is market day so Wendy and Ken walked over to have breakfast and to replenish our fruit, vegetables and bread. They had fun. And they brought home everything we needed. The Market is huge and crowded so I stayed home. In addition to all the vendors, a band keeps everyone entertained. They also sell cooked food. The first thing Wendy and Ken did was to find the food sellers. They watched while the lady first made the tortilla by pressing the round ball of dough with with a wooden press. Next she cooked it on the hot grill. Finally she filled it with anything they asked for. They were delicious, they said. There were two vendors selling bread. One had a line while they other one had no line. They purchased quickly. The same for the vegetables. The same thing happened. One vendor had a line while the other had no one waiting. They never were able to tell the difference. The fish seller had a long line so they bought no fish. But we enjoyed piella for dinner which Wass delicious. The name is the same as the one in Liverpool but there is no similarity between the two. Both are enjoyable, but different. The Farmer's Market is a huge success here in Nuevo Vallarta.
