January 18, 2020. Playa Royale, Mexico. Sunset Food.

Last evening we invited Ted and Kathy to come and share our sunset food, and of course, watch the sunset. They had just arrived on Wednesday and spent all day Thursday getting settled in. I was keen to talk with them because I had not seen them at all last year as they spent three months in Australia and News Zealand. Kathy and Ted are good friends. When Ken was ill, they helped me in many different ways. Ken coined the tern Sunset Food. We look over the Pacific Ocean and the sun goes down in front of our condo. Typically we snack while we watch the sun go down. Thus sunset food. Wendy prepares goodies which we enjoy while sitting on the balcony.Kathy and Ted arrived at 6:00. The sun was too bright so we stayed in the living room and nibbled until it got to be closer to sunset at 6:40. We moved all our goodies to the balcony, awaiting the beautiful sunset. Except it was a dud. The food was good, thanks to Wendy and the company was top drawer. But the heavy clouds hid the sun. There was no sunset at all. But we enjoyed our company and we enjoyed our sunset food. We three had no complaints.
