January 24, 2020. Playa Royale, Mexico. The Balcony Party.

Every evening we have a party on the balcony. We are five in the condo. Every day, each person does their own thing. By the evening, we are ready to find out what everyone else had done during the day. About 6:30, we convene on the balcony. It feels festive because Wendy brings out sunset food. This evening we ate hummus and cut up cucumbers, along with chips, guacamole and pico de guja. Everyone brings their beverage of choice. And we talk and enjoy each others company. Today Wendy and Ken took the bus to old town Puerto Vallarta so we had to find out everything about the day, including their luncheon food. Rita and Ian walked to the Plaza to make an appointment for a pedicure for me and to see the tigers and birds at Paradise Village. So we talk and watch the sunset, except tonight we never saw the sun. It stayed behind dark clouds. Well after the sun has set, who ever is cooking goes to work, And we eat promptly between 7 and 8. Our evenings are delightful and have the feeling of a party. The evenings are beautifully warm with always a bit of a breeze. Part of our fun is that we are sitting on the balcony in sandals and light clothes while our friends and relatives are in the cold. We are grateful for our evening balcony party and we enjoy every minute.
